  • What's the relationship between Tongling Siva and Altana Group?

    • Altana AG is a pharmaceutical and chemical group listed in the stock markets of New York (NYSE) and Frankfurt (FTSE). Altana consists of three divisions: Additives & Instruments, Electrical Insulation, and Coatings & Sealants. Tongling Siva belongs to Electrical Insulation BU, which is the largest and leading supplier of wire enamels in the world.


  • What insulating materials are being produced in Tongling Siva?

    • Tongling Siva produces wire enamels and related products. Please refer to the "Products and Service "for details.

    Before October 2004, Tongling Siva also produced some products of Impregnating varnishes, which were transferred to Altana Electrical Insulation (Zhuhai) after its establishment on October 28, 2004.


  • Are all Altana Electrical Insulation companies' product categories being produced and/or supplied by Tongling Siva?

    • The major wire enamels products of Altana Electrical Insulation are available in Tongling Siva. Most of them are published with the same names as in our sister companies, and some of the modified products are named similarly or differently due to historical reasons.

    Depending on market characteristics and volume limitation, only few products are produced in dedicated sister companies.

    Customers in China are welcome to contact Sales Department of Tongling Siva for enquiry of any products of other Altana Electrical companies.

  • How to select appropriate wire enamels?

    • Customers are encouraged to contact our Technical Service Department for advices.

    Selection of Wire enamels depends on:

    • Technical specifications of wires to be produced, such as: wire size, film thickness, thermal class, heat shock, etc.
    • Application of the enamled wire
    • Type of enameling machines, main technical parameters, coating methods, etc.

    Based on the above information, it will be easy to select proper products recommended by Tongling Siva


  • How to select proper application process for wire enamels?

    • The most appropriate application process provides guarantees for best curing of wire enamels, which means best cross-linking for most wire enamels. The TANGENT DELTA Tester would be quite helpful to optimize the process conditions. It is not recommended to determine the process conditions just by comparison of the enameled wire colors, because even same size wire coated with same enamels could perform differently in different enameling machines. Different enameling machines have different request on enamels.

    Detailed information of machines will enable our Technical Service Department to provide more concrete advice.
