There are increasing number of additional requirements on wire enamels expected to be requested in the upcoming years. Motor designs will change significantly resulting in stronger demands for enamel properties as dielectrics, film build characteristics, chemicals resistance and many more. Furthermore environmental restrictions are becoming tougher with regard to the use of solvents in general and the release of nitrogen oxides during the coating process specifically. And finally the increasing costs for power enhances the desire for less energy intense enameling technologies. Currently all those challenges are addressed in various approaches looking into advanced chemistries and sophisticated engineering solutions.
