The ELANTAS Institute for High-Voltage Insulation in Büsserach, Switzerland, serves as a central competence center for high‑voltage insulation technology. It supports the development, evaluation, and application of insulation materials used in high‑voltage rotating machines. The institute combines laboratory expertise, advanced diagnostic capabilities, and application‑focused support for customers and internal partners. The institute is equipped for detailed material and system investigations.
These systems allow accurate measurements of electrical behavior, thermal endurance, and insulation reliability.
Additional diagnostic tools support partial‑discharge analysis, tan‑delta measurement, and AC withstand tests. Together, these capabilities provide a controlled environment for evaluating resin systems, varnishes, mica‑based insulation, winding assemblies, and prototype coils under realistic operating conditions. The Institute offers an Advanced High‑Voltage Training. This program gives engineers, technicians, and managers a deep understanding of insulation systems for high‑voltage rotating machines. A basic background in electrical engineering, physics or chemistry is helpful but not required. The course is held in Breitenbach, Switzerland and conducted in English language.
