The ELANTAS Institute for High-Voltage Insulation in Büsserach, Switzerland, serves as a central competence center for high‑voltage insulation technology. The Institute offers an Advanced High‑Voltage Training. This program gives engineers, technicians, and managers a deep understanding of insulation systems for high‑voltage rotating machines. A basic background in electrical engineering, physics or chemistry is helpful but not required. The course is held in Breitenbach, Switzerland and conducted in English language.

Course highlights

The Advanced High‑Voltage Training begins with essential foundations. Participants gain a clear understanding of how motors and generators function, how mica and mica paper are used in insulation, and how different insulation materials are assessed and compared.

The program then moves into insulation technology. It covers the role of resins and varnishes, the principles behind impregnation, and the differences between resin‑rich and VPI processes.
