The elastic, odorless conformal coating ELANTAS Bectron BZ 1807 combines outstanding electrical insulation performance with high thermal and chemical resistance, excellent adhesion, and long-term durability.
Printed circuit boards (PCB) are the centerpiece of countless applications – from advanced automotive electronics to intelligent household appliances. To reliably protect the sensitive components against humidity, dust, vibration, and thermal stress, conformal coatings form a dense and insulating protective layer over the contours of the PCB. With Bectron BZ 1807, ELANTAS presents a new generation of conformal coating designed to meet today’s increased performance expectations in terms of high-voltage resistance, thermal shock stability, and chemical resistance.
The innovative formulation combines outstanding electrical insulation performance with high thermal resistance, excellent adhesion, good flexibility, and long-term durability – even at high voltages and under harsh environmental conditions and high chemical stress. Unlike conventional coatings that are limited to low-voltage and moderate-temperature applications, Bectron BZ 1807 is engineered for the next era of high-performance electronics.
The elastic conformal coating withstands operating temperatures up to 150 °C for more than 1,000 hours, passes thermal shock tests from -40 °C to +150 °C, and maintains its insulating properties even after prolonged exposure to high humidity and elevated voltage levels. Tested up to 3,600 V DC after ageing, Bectron BZ 1807 ensures exceptional electrical reliability. Furthermore, the cured product is virtually odorless. Thanks to its low-risk solvent composition, high solid content, and short drying times, Bectron BZ 1807 offers excellent edge coverage, safer handling, and efficient processing – whether applied by selective, spray, or dip coating.
