Vacuum Impregnation & Vacuum Pressure Impregnation

Vacuum Impregnation and Vacuum Pressure Impregnation is used for the processing of a range of electrical components, where a full penetration of impregnating resin must be guaranteed.

For Vacuum Impregnation a component is vacuum treated. Resin is then introduced until the component is fully covered by resin.

The vacuum is released and the resin is then removed. The component is drained. Curing is then achieved by heating in an oven.

For Vacuum Pressure Impregnation a component is vacuum treated. Resin is then introduced until the component is fully covered by resin.

The vacuum is released and an overpressure is applied for a period, after which, the component is returned to atmospheric pressure, the component is drained. Curing is then achieved by heating in an oven.
