ELANTAS Polyimide (PI) Wire Enamels provide a durable and highly effective primary insulation for copper wires, specifically developed for high-voltage applications.
ELANTAS’ unique globally available portfolio offers application-specific PI formulations with different properties, allowing the insulation to be precisely tailored to meet every dedicated customer need. Perfectly aligned with the required performance profile, the diverse PI formulations deliver enhanced corona resistance, special oil resistance, and very low permittivity to reduce electrical stress within the motor.
The resulting high-quality PI insulation products are optimally matched to a broad voltage range from 400 V up to 1,200 V and ensure enhanced performance in both pure electric and hybrid motors.
